I've divided my weight loss goals into 5% increments, so that they are not "easy" to reach, but I still feel like I'm achieving something. When I first started, I had over 100 lbs. to lose and was a bit overwhelmed... this really helped me to not give up on this long journey!

I agree. At first I thought it was too much to keep track of, but really I've got 20 streaks going on and each day I complete these "tasks" I feel good. I've come to a point where most of them are now habits and I'm working on new streaks. It def keeps me focused and I'm easing into my new lifestyle.

Mini weight Goals
I like using mini weight goals to keep me motivated. My goals use the next smallest number from my weigh in. Like now I weigh in at 116.1 kilos, my next goal is to weigh in the 115s kilos. And it works really well. I always have that next number in my head when I eat or work out. It really works!
We all try to 'GO FOR THE GOAL', but it always seems so far away. If we choose 'mini-goals' for which to work, it sure makes the process more enjoyable. If you have 75 lbs to lose, it can mess with your head because we think that it will take us a long time to reach it, and get totally bummed. However, if you choose a mini-goal to work for, you have more joyful occasions that will help keep you motivated to work toward that ultimate goal.
