I get bored doing the same cardio exercise for more than 15 min or so. I'll do 15 min on one machine and then hop over to the a different kind for 15 more and on to a third after that. Eventually I've gotten a good workout without becoming overly bored with any one activity.
I do the core of my Cardio training before a weight session, usually a combination of speed intervals and hills for 20 min. - do my weight sets (40 min.) - then finish with a steady paced 15 min. jog... makes for the perfect 75 min workout!
When I don't feel like working out I tell myself that I only have to do 15 min and then I can stop. Usually by the time I get to the 15 min I am through the hardest part and I end up having a great workout but if after 15 min I don't want to work out anymore, I don't. Don't lie to yourself.
