When I'm very busy or "frazzled" and doing cardio exercises on machines like the elliptical, stationary bike, or treadmill, I find that my mind starts to wander to all the other things I have to do - meaning I'm not giving my all to my workout or performing at my best, To help me get back & stay on track, I pick a body part and focus on only that one part while I'm working out - like the way my foot hits the treadmill each time or the way my calf muscle tightens when I pedal. Works every time!
