Sneaking In The Good Stuff

I sneak in good food like veggies, flax, nuts, and beans when I cook. It means I'm eating good things but not having to think about it so much. For example, add zucchini, mushrooms and green pepper to spaghetti sauce. Or add nuts and ground flax seeds to a salad. "Supersize" your nutritional intake!

Fab! I used to sneak spinach into bolognese sauce when my kids were little, they never knew :-)

Now I add quite often add butter beans to a soup to thicken it. That started when I overcooked a batch and they went mushy.

I love this. It adds nice flavors, too.

Great idea, I too add extras to my salads and chili's sauces etc to make them more nutritious. You triggered my memory about using flax seeds, I don't use them much and realize they would give my salads a healthy boost. Thanks again for the helpful tip. Enjoy your day, Blessings. emoticon emoticon
