This means eliminate most processed foods and eat whole, natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, complex carbohydrates and unsalted nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts). An easy way to remember if a food is clean is: "If man made it, don't eat it". Stay away from foods that contain refined sugar, hydrogenated & trans fats, preservatives and any ingredients on the label you can't pronounce. Eliminate or significantly reduce alcohol. (OK - I'm still working on this last one!)
Well, I just started reading labels on all package foods that I "used" to buy....and I realize that there was very little food in these packages! Most of it was preservatives and things/words I couldn't even pronounce. Now I only eat fresh foods and very little prepared/package goods!
I've lost weight/fat....feel much better, energy level has been fantastic. And I'm sleeping well. My overall health has improved and my attitude is heightened something positive is happening to me though all of my changes! Can't explain it but I feel great!
