Every Tuesday on my team we weigh in. We do not say what we weigh, only how much we lost. This is a great motivator for all of us on the team. If someone gains that week they get plenty of support and if someone loses weight they get plenty of congratulations! It truly works!!

If you weigh in more than one time a week, you are sometimes doing more harm than good. The scale can go up and down daily and keeping track of your real weight loss or weight gain is harder if you have too many numbers building you up or bringing you down. Stick to one weigh in day. Post that weight on all your teams, and update it weekly on the day you are suppose to update it on each team. Don't get discouraged, just keep moving!
If you are like me, when the numbers on the scale don't go down, you get discouraged. I have decided instead of weekly weigh-ins, monthly ones will be better. A month of hard work will always show a decrease in numbers on the scale as opposed to weighing in daily or weekly. Then you are excited and motivated to keep pushing on!!
I have learned that taking my measurements is just as important if not more important than what the scale says. Losing inches is far more motivating than the pounds on the scale because when you lose inches, you lose fat, and drop clothing sizes! Also take weekly progress pictures, you'll be happy to SEE the fat (and inches) melt away even when the scale is stuck or up! 9
