I think of my calories like some people think of money! If a food is high in calories, I deem it as "too expensive." So I put it back on the shelf and look for something "cheaper!" emoticon

  • i do that by accident! I say "wellll i'd like a cheeseburger, but it's too expensive...er... i mean, high in calories" - by JANEMC10

I do this too. I learned to "budget" my calories when I started Weight Watchers and had to stretch my Points to last the whole day. I don't necessarily avoid every high calorie food item, though. If I feel it's worth a splurge, I find a way to work it in by doing without somewhere else. - by CATHEITE
  • I do that for sugar on a product. *laughs* If it is more than 8 grams of sugar ....I don't buy it. In my case I don't watch calories..I have to watch sugar, fat, and sodium. If it is over 8 grams of sugar in a sitting, 8 grams of fat in a portion, or over 1000 in sodium...then it isn't for me. - by JEANHOW
  • I love this idea! emoticon So cute! I don't know how you came up with it, but I think I'm going to borrow it from you.

Thanks so much for sharing! emoticon - by DUSTYGIRL25
  • Haha...I never would have thought of that! I will have to be more "thrifty" and get the most for what I spend! emoticon - by NICKEL1331
