Everyone has that little voice inside you rebels when you tell yourself that "you can't" have that bag of chips, or that you "must" eat healthy.

However, it does respond favorably when you tell yourself that "I CHOOSE" to not eat those chips, or that "I CHOOSE" to eat an apple instead.

Good for you! I would tell myself to visualize the chips making my face break out and my hair greasy, or a apple that would flush my system and make me feel better. Its great we all have something we can tell ourselves to help change bad habits. I would also say if I really wanted it that I can have a baked potato at dinner with my meal for staying on track as a reward too. :)

I completely agree. I also have an inner rebel who doesn't like to be told what to do and is the reason I can't "diet" in the traditional sense of the word. Fortunately, I usually prefer healthier foods but, when I really want something unhealthy, I've been successful in having a small portion. For example, sharing a dessert with 2 or 3 people. emoticon
