Instead of grabbing carb and sugar packed snacks at the grocery I grab either "snacking cucumbers" or those little pickling cucumbers that are great for a little fill up. This also increases my veg intake for the day!

Sushi is a great alternative to fatty, high calorie meals. Believe it or not, it isn't that hard to make. Try making Cones or sashimi if rolls intimidate you. Temaki is the cone and is more commonly eaten in Japan.
