Change Your Toothbrush After Being Sick

This was told to us by our Dr. after my DH got sick yet again -this time with a bronchial infection-after the initial cold 3 weeks ago! He said if you didn't change your toothbrush, you probably reinfected yourself with the germs on it. So, even if you are on antibiotics, change your brush before and then after they are done. It is better to be safe than sorry-a toothbrush costs alot less than the Dr.'s visit and the medicine!

  • It is amazing how the simple things that we do can spread germs. One of the things that I bought before I sent my granddaughter off to college was a pack of toothbrushes just in case she got sick and I instructed her to change it often. I also told her to change her pillowcase everyday while recovering because of breathing on it while sleeping.
