I learned a lot about losing weight with Weight Watchers and a little about maintenance. I came to SparkPeople and learned more about losing and a lot more about weight maintenance. I got The Beck Diet Solution and am learning many more skills in dealing with food and thinking like a thin person.

I lost weight by eating frequently and never allowing my hunger to get too great. I'm thinking more like a thin person now that I am learning to tolerate some hunger and learning I don't need to give in to cravings.

I am sort of in the same situation, with going to weight watchers and also with spark people, Have not heard about the Beck Diet solution though, and would like some more maintenance helps if would like to offer.

The Beck Diet Solution is THE BEST book I have read that tackles the mental portion of weight loss!

I doesn't matter what you learn, just keep learning! You can even focus on one area, such as healthy eating, or exercising. If you learn something new everyday about those things you'll be amazed at how fast you'll start changing your lifestyle around!

I like to keep a what I learned today journal. It can be motivational and it's also a record of something I may have forgotten. Try for at least one new thing everyday, but if it's multiple things...Great!!
