When you start on your journey of maintaining a healthy life style know what you are eating. When I go on my Nutrition page I check out the food as I list it. When I find the food that I have eaten I do the nutrition list before I post it. Then I will know if I want to eat that item again or more of it. When I am trying to get enough of all my vitamins it is a real handy information site to use. Spark people have put in so many valuable sites for us to learn from, use them and learn.

I know my food weaknesses, and since I KNOW I can't resist them, I simply don't buy them. Pizza, cookies, pretty much anything processed and sweet. I don't buy them because I know I'll eat them if they're in the house.
Going to a smorgasboard used to be a problem for me, i knew which foods would be best for my nutritional intake, but took too much. When I remembered to use the proper proportion of food groups to have on a plate, I did well!
Knowing what foods and/or situations can set you up for a binge is helpful. Make a list of those things and come up with a strategy that will enable you to head off the next attack. Having a great defense in place will make your journey easier and easier.
