I've never been a cook, but I've decided it's necessary for my lifestyle change. I used to hate cooking green or yellow lentils because they took so long. Red lentils are done in 20 minutes! I add onion, garlic, tomato, spinach and whatever other vegetable is in my fridge to them. I also use different Asian spices which makes them taste great. It's healthy and affordable!
I used to feel bad about eating frozen veggies vs. fresh veggies, until I learned that frozen veggies can actually be better for you and contain more nutrients! I hate cooked peas but frozen peas as a snack is delicious!
Frozen fruits/veggies are picked at their prime time when their nutritional values have fully developed and frozen right away. Fresh fruits/veggies are picked beore they are fully ripe so they do not grow to have as much nutrients. They are picked then shipped and sit in the store until bought.
