My bill is between $35 and $40 a month. I sleep with tv on. Is that too much? I'll try turning it off before going to sleep for at least 2 weeks. Lets see if that makes my bill decrease. worth a try. thanks!!

TV Off Music On
turn off the tv and turn on the Music. TV watching requires you to sit still or be in one location. Music not alone allows your to move around. It inspires you to. Put on your favorite cd and see how long you can sit still.
I'm one, too. I've made myself a schedule of 1 hour of TV every weekday that I'm only allowed to watch while working out. The key is, that if you stop exercising, you HAVE to turn off the TV. I love my shows so much that I keep going right up unti lthe "Next time on..." is over!
MORE INFORMATION:
I actually do this with my guilty pleasure soap opera- The Young and the Restless. It's something I can't justify watching any other way, but it would work just as well with CSI, American Idol, Bones, or whatever TV shows YOU like!
Eating every meal while sitting down at the table, with all other entertainment turned off (no tv or game etc) can actually turn into nice family time or friends time.
Also, because it forces you to pay attention to what you're eating, it may result in reducing the quantity and also time spent eating - if you are eating by yourself then you may find it boring and want to go back to your other activities for the day.
