Put clear nail polish on the inside of a new clothing item's buttons threads and never lose a button again.

Most buttons are done in a factory by machine and they aren't backstitched to prevent the button from coming lose. A few dabs of clear nail polish on the threads that are holding the button on, will stop your buttons from falling off. I have yet to lose a button!
what you need......Chenille stems / Buttons / Mini googly / eyes Glue

Bend the end of a chenille stem so the buttons don't fall off. Hand the stem and a pile of buttons to your child. He/she will know what to do! I was surprised myself! After the "body" is done, bend the rest of the chenille stem to make the head. Make a loop around the bottom to form a mouth. Glue
When sewing buttons on children's clothes use shirring elastic instead of cotton and they will stand much more strain. Also by using a dab of clear nail polish on the button threads will also stop them from working loose.
