Shame might masquerade as a motivational friend, but I find that a negative inner dialogue does not inspire me to change, only to drag me down. I've been cutting short those negative messages and finding it easier to stay on track.

I have had a great supportive friend since march 2013 I text her everyday and let her know where I'm at mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally. I come clean about my behaviors towards myself and towards others. I am getting honest, not living in guilt and shame, and overcoming! I also share small victories I may have overlooked. This is the single most important thing that has created the mental shift I need to reach my goals and have serenity in my day to day despite challenges and hickups.
