I tend to be unrealistic in thinking I won't eat too much after supper!
Thanks to your suggestion I remembered the only time I starved myself I was 17 years old and a relative gave me the motivating goal of a ten-speed bicycle! So OK, time to get motivated again - though the need to be realistic is great cause I'm not invincible like when (I thought) I was at 17!
I am wiser and have managed to lose more than 70 pounds due in part to sparkpeople.com so what do I want that I know I can get...

Breathe, breathe, breathe
Are you feeling a bit stressed today? When I feel frazzled, I tune out the world for a minute by closing my eyes and taking several slow deep breaths. (This works during an argument as well to diffuse the tension with a short time-out.) Wishing you peace and a sense of calm, Sparkers.

In between bites, put your fork or spoon down until you are completely done chewing your food. If you are eating out of a container, put the package down in between bites. This gives you time to enjoy your food, and your brain/stomach to process your limit.
Slow down - eat slower. It takes your brain time to catch up with what you're eating. Put down your fork or spoon in between every single bite - you'll be amazed at how slowing down and taking time to enjoy/savor your food helps!4
