This Sparked Me!

Grabbing 6oz of Greek Yogurt really helps me curb my snacking.

MORE INFORMATION:
Greek yogurt is strained more than regular yogurt which removes more whey (carbs) leaving a higher concentration of protein. Greek yogurt has 12 grams of protein and at only 130 calories I find it easy to fit into my diet.

Greek yogurt is awesome! I also love it with some fruit, a bit of bran cereal, or a drizzle of honey and walnuts/almonds. It is so satisfying!

...add some chopped up fresh strawberries, 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed and 1/3 cup bran buds and you have a high protein, sweet-high fiber snack/meal.

I love zero fat Greek Yogurt so I eat it everyday. The consistency is thick, smooth, and luscious. I always feel like I'm eating something decadent and forbidden. Stir in a little honey for a hint of sweetness. My favorite brand is FAGE. emoticon

I top it with Kellog's Bran Buds, gives it a crunchy taste and you get extra fiber in while filling you up!

I've recently found pomegranate flavoured Greek yogourt: a nice change from the always-delicious plain with honey, nuts and fruit version that I've enjoyed lately. Thanks Spark for letting me know about Greek yogourt! emoticon

I love muesli for breakfast, and lately have been having it with milk. I always used to mix an equal quantity of Greek yoghurt thru my yoghurt, maybe depending on the amount of dried fruit in the muesli, a little sprinkling of Equal Spoon for Spoon over the top.

Now I've read about the lower carb/higher protein count of Greek yoghurt I'm gonna go out and buy myself a big tub! It has such a variety of uses both sweet and savoury and best of all, it will help increase my protein intake without adding too much to those carbs! emoticon

Greek yogurt is awesome. I make my smoothies out of it and they are sooo creamy, I feel like I'm cheating when I'm not.
SWEETEYES0601 5/15/2012 11:37:00 AM

I can't get over the taste of greek yogurt except with over-ripe fruit (and a lot of it!) What's great to mix with the yogurt if the taste seems harsh?
NWHITE11 7/7/2011 9:23:00 AM

I love greek yogurt with honey and almonds. We are a gluten free family so I use greek yogurt in all of my baking. I have an amazing banana bread recipe that is really very balanced in protein, fat and carbs

I love chocolate and greek yogurt. I mixed some cocoa into my greek yogurt with a bit of honey and it was a surprisingly good chocolate concoction that tasted like a healthy dessert. It was good straight up but even better to use as a dip with fruit.
NORASPAT 4/15/2011 7:42:00 PM

I make oat bran in the microwave using water and a small banana, the banana cooks right down and it stirs to smooth, I then add 2 tablespoons of Milled flax seed 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt this is ceamy and sweet from the banana high fiber and nutrition. It is also yummy! emoticon

JRBASKIND 10/15/2010 10:39:00 AM

If you don't want to spend the extra money that it costs to buy most Greek yogurts, you can use regular yogurt, and strain the extra whey out using a coffee filter in a strainer over a bowl. Let it strain in the refrigerator and you will have your own version for less money.
