Put The Date On Your Open Food Containers In The Fridge

This Sparked Me!

I use the nutritional tracker to plan my meals for the moment; I need the help because I usually overdo it in one of the categories (fat, carbs, protein, calories). So I make a batch of black beans or rice at one time because I eat a lot of portions throughout the week. So that I know how fresh the item is, I take a sharpie and date the container. Most kitchens use day dots so this is my inexpensive way of knowing what is fresh and what is not.

I use a dry erase marker on my Tupperware too. It usually wipes right off, but on some finishes, some markers require more elbow grease. In other words, I wouldn't use it on any family heirloom Tupperware, but it works for me!
