Too Cold To Get Up!

Members Were Sparked
This Sparked Me!

In the winter I have trouble getting out of bed because it's so cold. I bought myself a space heater and set my alarm 30 minutes earlier. Now, I get up when the alarm goes off and turn on the space heater then go back to bed for 30 minutes. By the time I get up the room is warm and I can manage to get out of bed.

I can totally sympathise. It has been so cold -and dark- that I ve not wanted to get up. This time of year there is no real incentive. I'm retired so dont have to work, and I cant do any gardening. The house is clean and tidy- and cold. So the best place to be is in bed! Saves on fuel, I catch up on sleep, and I'm warm! I'll be glad when the weather is warmer though. I like cleaning the car

Good idea! I can sympathize. I hate leaving a warm bed & warm, sleepy dogs & facing a cold floor & room!
Would putting the heater on a timer work? Like those lamp timers & set it to come on 1/2 an hour before get-up time? Then you could get in a bit of extra sleep. emoticon
