I have many cake decorator tips and sometimes even 2 or 3 of the SAME tip because I use them that often! It is VERY HARD TO SEE the numbers imprinted on each tip so,when I get a new tip I label it with my labelmaker from Brother. It saves time when trying to locate a tip and it can make it through the dishwasher in a special bag for tips [although I hand wash them ,too! I use the dishwasher to sterilize it even more!]. If the label does fade, I use a permanent marker to relabel it.
Additional tips of the same number I label as back-up tip #2, 3 or whatever number it is.

For Cake Decorators! Write tip#s INSIDE Your Tool Caddy!
If you do cake decorating, then most likely you have a tool caddy "box" for organizing and in some cases [like if you were taking or teaching a cake decorating class] transporting your cake decorating equipment. Well,I have taken all the Wilton classes from Course 1 to Course 4 ,ending with Fondant & Gumpaste and I STILL DON'T REMEMBER which TIP NUMBER is for making shells, stars, writing, etc. So, tonight when I was decorating another cake,I got the idea to put the MOST -FREQUENTLY USED TIP...
...NUMBERS on the INSIDE of my tool caddy! That way ,when I flip it UP to see my tools, the TIP NUMBER LIST IS AVAILABLE and I don't have to go searching in my cake decorating books to find WHICH TIP is for which desired effect~star, heart, writing or my favorite~~the shell!
Yes, if you read the label, it has added dextrose (sugar) in it. It may be a little bit but sugar is sugar. Reading labels is imperative these days no matter where you shop. Even some of the sea salts have this too so take care.
I found that pickling and canning salt is "just salt" and is less than $2/box. I think it is also kosher (thanks to the commenters tip).
I called the bakery late for a carrot cake, when they delivered it. I gave the guy a nice tip..he said I made his week! We took a cab and I gave the cabbie a nice tip as well..I won't always be able to give money..but to see the expressions of happiness was wonderful. I want to give one act a week!
Acts of kindness not only help the person receiving it..you also get a happy feeling. A member of our team went to the grocery store she was going to have to put something back and a man at the end of the line bought it for her! Be creative think of things that don't use money. Happiness can spread!
