Any time exercise has ever worked for me is when I make it a priority. I always have a ton of things to do and when I put exercise at the bottom of the list (or do it later in the day), I either don't have time or I'm too tired to get up and do anything. Making it the first thing I do (on a weekend or as soon as I get home from work)...no matter what, is when I keep the promise and it gets done. Still need to work on this but I know it works... emoticon

    So...to conquer this, I've changed my eating habits to where I eat most of my food earlier in the day (since I get up at 4am and go to bed quite early, I can do this). Before I leave work, I ensure I'm not going to be hungry and will even eat a banana or something before I leave on my hour commute so "hungry" is not an issue when I get home. After I work out, my eating consists of something small like a salad, yogurt, or fruit. Sometimes I treat myself to non-fat frozen yogurt with fresh fruit (raspberries, strawberries, pineapple, and/or banana) on it before bed (yum). emoticon

    I agree about the hungry thing and I had that problem too. I would get home from work and be hungry so I couldn't work out because my body didn't have the energy and all I could think of was food. Then by the time I got home from working out (if I did), I wanted to eat anything and everything. BUT when I did eat first, I then needed to wait for the food to digest before working out, which meant I sat down and ended up getting too tired to work out. More...

    I'm up at 4:30am for work and don't make it home until 5pm. I must admit it's extremely hard to come home from a long day and want to work out, but I too must sometimes force myself to go crabbing all the way there (just two blocks from my house, lol). Amazingly enough when I'm done I feel better and laugh, saying to myself: "That wasn't all that bad" and I still get my nightly stuff done.

    I agree! Also, I've noticed a decrease in my performance when I wait until the end of the day.

    i wud like to follow this, but i'm always too hungry, and after eating you are not supposed to exercise.
