Any time exercise has ever worked for me is when I make it a priority. I always have a ton of things to do and when I put exercise at the bottom of the list (or do it later in the day), I either don't have time or I'm too tired to get up and do anything. Making it the first thing I do (on a weekend or as soon as I get home from work)...no matter what, is when I keep the promise and it gets done. Still need to work on this but I know it works...

Make a list of everything that needs to be done. then start at the top of the list and dont do anything new until it's finished. Then cross it off the list. Move on to the next item doing the same until the list is finished. Add new things to the bottom of the list only.
At first the list will seem overwhelming but as you see things crossed off of it that changes. It becomes motivating to see everything you have accomplished.
Sometimes I have so much housecleaning to do that I feel overwhelmed and don't know where to start. That's when I get pen and paper out and list all of the chores that have to be done. I start at the top of the list and then I cross the chore out when it's done. This way I can see my progress and it's also an incentive to finish the chores down to the last item on my list.224
Tired of not getting everything crossed off that "To Do List" each day?? Instead of doing a To Do List....I now do a "Done Did List"!! What I do is, as I complete or accomplish as task, I ADD it to my list of what I HAVE done that day!
Now instead of dealing with a list of anywhere from 5-10 things that maybe half were not getting done daily, I now consistently have a list of anywhere from 5-10 things that ARE getting done daily.
And best of all? No more anxiety that I didn't get this or that done that is now put off till tomorrow AGAIN...and lots of good feelings that I have this list of what I "Done Did" that day and nothing put over to another day.
