I am a HUGE taster when it comes to cooking dinner for my family. One of the things that I do when I get home and start preparing for dinner is put a fresh stick of gum in my mouth to subside the urge to TASTE!!

    I actually encourage "taste testing".. simply because every bite I take before a meal means 3 less bites later. Your body has time to process the food it is taking in, taking away the hunger pains, and desire to over indulge by over loading my plate. Funny how different things work differently for others.. for me, the gum trick makes my tummy growl because I'm tricking my mouth which is the beginning of the digestive process, into thinking I'm getting food when I'm not.. hence hunger pains!

    that also works for me. i don't want to take away from the peppermint taste so it stops me from eating anything else.
