I buy all of the clothes I can at the thrift store. I just had a baby, so I buy my jeans at the thrift store for 6 dollars. I also breastfeed, so I buy shirts used as well. I have found all of the baby clothes there, and last week found six baby outfits for 15 dollars. With three kids and a limited budget, the thrift store has been a true lifesaver.

I live near Lee's Summit, Missouri and I've found that Target seems to donate clothes every once in a while to the Lee's Summit Goodwill store. Brand new stuff. Probably something that just wasn't selling well. I'm sure it's nothing more than a tax write off to Target, but it is cool to be able to go and get something that was originally 15+ dollars at Goodwill for less than that.

There are so many like new or new items you can find at the thrift store. I have several friends who collect vintage items like cameras, jewelry, records, comic books and just stuff. Whenever they have birthdays coming up, I shop for them at the thrift store. Now while not everyone appreciates a used item, some people do. In November, one of my close friends had a birthday party and I know how much he loves photography, so I got him a used camera at a thrift store. Thinking that he would use the old camera as a decorative item, I didn't bother to check if it worked. Turned out that my gift was not only vintage and in working condition it was worth far more than the $3.00 I paid for it. Needless to say my gift was a hit at the party.

Awesome idea! It's an inexpensive way try a different "look" for fun. Try clothes on, sometimes the tag size is way off.

I have to agree that the Thrift Store can be your best friend, especially when losing weight...your sizes can change quickly and your clothing starts to hang loosely. During this period of weight loss you can still look good in nice fitting clothing that won't break the bank!
