The first Friday of each month I document my progress in pounds & inches (chest, abdomen, waist, hips, left thigh, right thigh, left calve, right calve, left arm, right arm) in a table I created for the whole year. I also keep a separate day planner where I check in how I'm doing on a daily basis. Every Friday morning I weigh myself nude (right after waking up) and write it in my day planner. Over time I can reflect on my moods and daily/monthly/yearly progress! Change happens in the long run!

Set up a regularly scheduled "appointment" with a friend or colleague to discuss progress to date. Share weekly goals and review progress. Being accountable to someone helps and you can help each other get back on track when motivation is lacking.
