Assuming I am motivated (and that's a whole 'nother story), I have always found it fairly easy to lose weight. I eat when I'm hungry, which ends up meaning several small meals a day of only the healthiest food. Fresh vegetables and fruit, whole grains, and a small amount of fresh nuts.
Some small amounts of cheese is okay too, but avoid refined, packaged foods.

If possible, eat when you are hungry, don't put it off! Don't wait for the next proscribed "meal time" or think that not eating when you're hungry will help with weight loss! When you DO finally eat, you'll be even HUNGRIER and end up eating more than you would have otherwise.
Eat when you're hungry, not when the clock says it's time to eat. Learn the difference between 7, 12 and 5 o'clock. Eat when actual hunger and tummy rumblings spur you on and not when the clock says you are hungry by habit.
