I use an old 5 gallon water jug to save my change. You will be amazed at how quickly the amounts add up. When I am in dire need of funds, I always have something on hand to work with. I love catching sales on items that are in my plan.

Our credit union has a change counting machine. I can throw my coins into the machine and it goes straight into my savings account. I don't have to roll or wrap and I don't pay a service fee like the charge from the grocery store's coin machine.
A once a week stop at the credit union to get rid of loose change makes the savings add up quickly.
Every payday, I go to the bank and get a roll of quarters and put it in a jar that I designate for loose change. Since most people don't like to spend change, you can save at least ten dollars a pay period!
I have a money box on my stove that is used for collecting loose change. I pay in cash and put all the change in the box. At the end of each month, I put the money in my savings account. I couldn't set aside money on payday, but the money "magically" appears in my acct at the end of the month.
