  • Its a great ideal, but for most people they will just ignore they have the equipment there. At a gym you know what you went there for and therefore you have a tendency to get it done.

  • I enjoyed going to the gym when I went on my way home from work as part of the daily routine but now that I've retired, I'm busier than ever so the home equipment works for me. I can work out whenever I have spare minutes. - by LSIG14

I agree, I prefer having my home gym. The equipment is right there and I manifest to use it rather than think do I really want to go out today or other excuses like oh it's raining or its hot etc etc. Now I just need another room for my gym, my guest bedroom is cramped now. Hum maybe the guest won't want to stay long!! emoticon - by DUCKY2222

  • We bought an elliptical machine in 2001, and I have been using it for almost 10 years now. It still works well, it's paid for, and I get a great workout at home. I also own a couple of different weights of dumbbells and a jumprope, and that's all the equipment I need. - by LP2278

I did invest in a treadmill (we get a LOT of rainy days) and a home gym. If you budget, buy on sale (usually right after New Years) you can get some GREAT deals. Compare the cost of gym membership for 2 years and see wht you can pourchase for that much money. - by DOUGLYE
