When I want to step up my weight loss for the week, I eat oatmeal for lunch two or three times during the week. I find it fills me up for the afternoon. I add a little sweetener and I find it really satisfies me - makes me feel like I have had a great lunch.

Dont skip breakfast
I use to not eat breakfast, even when working out, then one day I went out with my family for a healthy breakfast before my work out, and was able to go twice as long as usual. I now eat a healthy breakfast every morning.

Drink lots of water and eat at least 3 TBLS of greens

The water and the greens promote healthy eating and reduce hunger pains. Since I have IBS, this works great for me without any bloating. Of course, quit the sodas or diet sodas altogether. Use Stevia instead of Splenda, etc. -- it's naturally made.
I used to never eat breakfast. As I began to really pay attention to what and how much I was eating..I quickly realized when I skipped breakfast I would over eat at lunch. It would take twice the portions of food for me to feel satisfied for the rest of the day.

Now I never skip my first meal of the day. I drink a protein shake or have oatmeal. If I'm running late or on the go, I'll grab a banana, a low-fat cheese stick or sliced apples from the local quick mart.
