If you don't move...your scale will not move either! I can eat the right foods, drink the water, but if I don't do my aerobic walking...the scale stubbornly sticks!! I chose walking as my exercise because I will actually DO it.

...And I have noticed the opposite as well. You can walk to the ends of the earth, but if you don't change your eating pattern you won't loose any weight either. They go together - exercise and eating right.

I agree with you - At the first of the year I started watching what I was eating and not exercising and nothing happened. I have now added exercise along with my diet and I have started seeing some weight loss.

I use to try and force myself to use the eliptical machine and the treadmill. I did this because I knew it burned more calories and would be better for me than just walking. Well, I could rarely force myself to do it and would constantly just stop working out all together. Then I realized that those machines would could burn more calories BUT I would actually have to use them! So, I decided to just do what I enjoy... walking around the block... Have you ever tried to add the new pet license tag or name tag to the ring on your pet's collar and broke your finger nails in the process? Use a staple puller....the kind you find in offices everywhere. You can pull the collar ring open and slide the new tag on very easily!
