If I go on "automatic pilot" when it comes to food, I eat mindlessly & do not stop and think about what I am eating. Now what I am working on is to stop for a moment, think about a healthy choice (or food) a la using my mind, then I buy the healthy food a la using my hand(s), and finally, I use my hands to eat the healthy food a la mouth. Using this process helps me eat healthy & eat a slower pace to enjoy my food. This process works in the morning when I am packing my lunch for the day, too.9
Are you going through a spell where it's just too difficult to meet daily goals, or you just don't feel like it anymore? Then act "as if." Act as if you've already lost the weight, no matter what the scale says. Act as if you've already run a 10K, even if it's a pain to get off the couch. Smile even if you don't feel like smiling. If you act the part, it's easier to imagine those yet-to-be-achieved goals as a future reality. If you dream it, you can be it!
Mind over matter, friends. Mind over matter.
