When I first married, my hubby & I set short term ,med.-term and long term goals of what we wanted to accomplish in a given set of time. For our long term[5years & beyond~it was children] ;med-term was[ 1-5yrs~it was landscaping for our backyard] and for short term[1 month -1 year~it was obtaining furniture for our dining room]. Each of these time limits allowed us to focus on what we were working towards and helped us COMMUNICATE what was important to each of us and what we could do...]
as a TEAM to help us achieve our goals!Sometimes,we were able to accomplish a goal in the given time -like our backyd.took MUCH prep &was completed in 3 yrs.Sometimes,it took longer to achieve our goals & sometimes we changed them COMPLETELY if they didn't suit us,but HAVING GOALS made us a family!

Setting and reaching your goals is an important aspect of life, no matter what you wish to accomplish. Yearly goals can be too daunting and daily goals can be too much work to keep track of. Weekly goals are a great way to achieve success in any area of your life.
Just try to focus on one set of goals at a time, though it may be tempting to do more. One set allows you the greatest amount of focus and won't be as likely to overwhelm you.
Setting a final weight goal is great but it's going to take a long time for some of us to get there. Set daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals and final goals. They don't all have to be weight related. Any health related goal will help with weight loss because it's hard to stay on track when you don't feel well or you feel overwhelmed by a crazy schedule.464
