In many if not most baked goods, you can substitute unsweetened applesauce for cooking oil. 1/2 cup applesauce for 1/2 oil--and muffins, etc. are just as moist and delicious--and lower in fat and calories!

    I like this idea too, but you can use any puree, and I HAVE used baby fruit and veggie blends, in a pinch. Anything to make foods my kids like , into something healthier for them!
