I use a smaller plate when I am eating pasta, or anything that looks "small" on a dinner plate - I find I am satisfied with the serving size because it doesn't look so small after all!

    Sometimes our bodies fool us into thinking we're hungry when we're really not. This is an excellent idea! emoticon

    This has actually been proven to work by studies @ the University of Illinois-Champaign! A great book I highly recommend is Mindless Eating by Brian Wansink PhD... fun read & very informative!

    I use smaller plates now for everything. Makes the plate look fuller and even better, heaping with all those veggies!

    My dishes are all white, so I was thinking plates with more design or color may make my portions look more satisfying.
