How To Choose Positive Mood Even When Your Facing Serious Negativity

I realize that everything only has the significance that I give it. It helps me realize that I am the only one that creates negative and positive impact on my mood. I now choose positive! EVEN in the face of serious negativity!

When I start feeling that negativity, I just color my world (figuratively & literally). I wear bright colors, put out bright flowers (either fresh or artificial), open the blinds and let in the light. When I'm really down, I get out the coloring book and crayons. Nothing like coloring a bright picture to move my mood towards positive. If it's a really negative mood, coloring HARD with DARK colors helps get out the aggression and soon I'm looking for a page with flowers and sunshine. 185
We all have bad days and bad moods, but I truly believe that we can choose our reaction and, in so doing, direct our emotions. We can choose to brood and stay in our funk. Or we can find something positive to focus on and improve our mood.
After I started to actively use SP I decided that I would be in a good mood every day. I wake up and I am in a good mood. I exercise in a good mood. Things and words that use to upset me no longer do. I smile at strangers, and yes I get smiles back. I no longer allow over heard negativity to affect me.
