One of our cats has terrible hairball issues. We've tried all the normal remedies, to no avail.

The vet told us to try using 1/4 tsp of Miralax mixed with canned food in hopes of making the hair come out the other end.

MORE INFORMATION:
He hasn't been coughing any hairballs up. Can't say for sure that they're coming out the other end. We're going into Week 3 and all seems good.
