Besides a Vision Collage, place a small jar filled with pebbles or marbles, one for each pound or half pound you have set your goal at. Take out the pebbles or marbles as you lose those pounds. Keep your jar on the kitchen counter or close to the refrigerator as a reminder to stay on track.

You can also use the same concept for each day you stick with your exercises during the month or over the year!

I look at the 5 lb. weight that I use - I imagine that it's in my pocket & I carry it around all day. Then I think what it's going to be like to lose 5lb. & empty that pocket - somehow that 5 lb seems more important to me.

I made my jar with marbles in it this morning.

I'm going to do it the opposite way. Add one for each pound I lose. I can't look at all that I have left to go, it's demotivating! But if I see the number grow as I do well, that will push me on. Thanks for the idea!

I am so excited to start this. I plan on doing two different colors of pebbles, the top color is for my first weight loss goal and the bottom for my ultimate weight loss goal. Thanks for the great idea!

I absolutely love this idea! I did a paper chain last year and tore links off for each lb lost and stapled another one on when the scale went the other direction. I love the visual. I had issues keeping all those links up though. They kept falling off the wall. It also looked a I love the jar idea. Today is the day I make mine!

Thank you! emoticon
