Instead of using a white sauce in your pie fillings, just add wine or a light flavorsome stock or broth (home made of course) and add just enough corn flour to thicken it to the desired consistency. I generally use no more than 1 teaspoon for 6 portions of pie. Also saves on all the processed flour you would otherwise be eating.

Instead eat Sherbet as it has a fruit juice base but often contains some milk, egg whites or gelatin to thicken and richer it. It's a creamy version of sorbet. Very delicious on your lips, as ice cream consist of lots of fat and it is too hot for ice cream, it would add more weight gain on you. So say No to ice cream.
