If my husband and I are in the mood for ice cream we take a frozen banana and throw it in a blender with a little bit of milk and some vanilla or almond extract.

I have done this for years! When my son was a toddler till about 6 he got to eat "ice cream" anytime he wanted.
Also nice to add *cinnamon *mango * blueberries
