I live in a drafty old house & we keep the thermostat low enough that if one is sitting for a while, it feels frigid. As soon as I begin to feel cold, I get up & do some "movements:" jumping jacks, twist at the waist, touch my toes then reach toward the ceiling, march in place, lunge forward, step side to side, arm circles, dance ---anything. It usually takes only a minute or two to feel warm & the warmth lasts, sometimes for hours. As a bonus, I burn a few calories, too.
