Sweet Potatoes will digest slowly. Sweet Potatoes have positive affect on insulin.Cinnamon has magnesium, which also helps in controlling blood sugar. Cinnamon can help lower your blood sugar. Cinnamon is one of the best things a diabetic can eat to control blood sugar, try some cinnamon stick coffee

cinnamon on apples or baked apples, just try some! Cinnamon can help lower your blood sugar, a cinnamon pill a day for three weeks should show some results. It did for me.

    A word of caution about cinnamon: it can be a stomach irritant. If you have an ulcer, adding cinnamon can cause great pain. I speak from experience.
