There are two things that work for me.
1. Weigh myself every day.
2. Keep a food journal. I have a computer program that I use to enter all my food. This program tracks calories and nutrition. Tracking everything is the key!

    YES, YES, YES to weighing yourself every day! Two pounds up might be just a daily glitch, but if it persists over several days it is a signal to start being more diligent and extra particular on daily tracking of food intake and also exercise.

    Ok -- I have been avoiding weighing more than once a week because it is too discouraging to see little or no downward movement. I will try. Tomorrow is my normal weigh in anyway.
