Cut calories by digging out the hefty middle filling of those big bread servings like bagels, biscuits, croissants, etc..
You can also buy the thin versions of bread e.g. Thomas' Bagel Thins

MORE INFORMATION:
I wanted to make a quick chicken sandwich on a dinner roll but felt guilty about eating all that bread, so I dug out the middle of the roll and barely noticed the difference in taste.

    Great secret! This is really a great thing to do when dining out, too - Since restaurants usually butter and grill the buns for sandwiches, I usually as for a "dry bun" because I can't stand wet, mushy bread. But sometimes I forget to ask, so if I tear out the middle, I get rid of a lot of that oily, mushy mess - and the calories that come with it.
