Cut calories by digging out the hefty middle filling of those big bread servings like bagels, biscuits, croissants, etc.. You can also buy the thin versions of bread e.g. Thomas' Bagel Thins

I keep a collection of articles about the health benefits of maintaining a healthy weight (and the health hazards of gaining weight). I find focusing on health, rather than appearance, is motivating for me.
"Abdominal Fat at Middle Age Associated with Greater Risk of Dementia" "...Overweight & obesity in middle age leads to chronic health problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes and dementia later in life...." "Fat in middle age can cut women's lives short..."
Next time you give a small child or a child with loose teeth an APPLE try this. Cut it in thin slices about 1/4 to 1/2 inch NOT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. AROUND ITS MIDDLE and show off the star in the middle. I found little kids went off apples when teeth were loose so I did this. Now I am losing teeth I find they are much easier with smaller chunks of skin to chew.
