Your idea sounds great. I went one step further. I've purchased a small net book and loaded a computer program - Big Oven for all my recipes. I seem to collect recipes and when I wanted a particular one, it seems like it took forever to find it. I've been slowly adding the recipes to the computer, taking a picture of it too! Now, when I want to cook it, I just turn my netbook on and easily search for it. I can print the recipe or just keep it up on the computer. It's great!

Very good. Would love to know how to create a cookbook in Spark. I am new to the site.

I used old photo albums. Remember when they weren't litin and acid free. All photos had to be removed from the old ones and I used them to put recipies in. I have one for Meals and one for Desserts. I guess the dessert one isn't needed anymore is it. I guess I need to make one for non cheating desserts. Loved you post. Best to you in 2011. Much success in reaching your goals.

I love the three ring binder of sparkrecipes that I have tried. I print things that sound good, and add some of the comments and then make notes of family members that like particular recipes, etc. I have shared several this way, too.

I've done this and liked it. Now Im using the cookbook I've created on spark and I Love it. Easy use, to reference, and keep updated. Really helps me be organized. Plan to add favorites from cookbooks I have on hard copy and downsize my collection.

When creating a SparkPeople cookbook with recipes that other members have provided, instead of creating one cookbook, create several. It is much easier to find a recipe if you have them in separate cookbooks, for main dishes, salads, desserts, baked goods, side dishes, etc.
