A natural diuretic, lowers cholosterol and gives your kidney's a good cleaning. It's good for your heart too. Some people don't enjoy the taste of Asparagus or the smell, but it's low in calories and is certainly better than taking meds.

Agree 100%! Love Asparagus, boiled, grilled, whatever.

It may be a "get used to" food because of the taste/smell, but I liked it even as a kid.

My folks grew fresh Asparagus and I'd go cut a couple of stalks for a snack when playing made my stomach wonder what was wrong.

We planted a patch 3 years ago and are so looking forward to some home grown asparagus this year. It also grows wild around here but the deer usually beat us to it!
NASFKAB, we just bought some asparagus crowns from an internet source and planted them.
