The best way to stay with your healthy efforts is to plan ahead of time. Always have a backup plan, too, in case an unexpected dinner invitation pops up, you don't have time to hit the gym, etc.
I try to eat breakfast everyday to provide fuel for the day. I also eat morning/afternoon healthy snack, as well as light lunch and dinner. I do some form of exercise daily....gym, walking, biking.

I have posted in other secrets my top three secrets to loosing weight. This is my top motivational secret during that process. Do not, and I repeat, do not, beat yourself up! I have known many people over the years that have said; "I ate some chocolate while dieting and can't go on because I am a failure!" Wait just a minute, a failure because you ate some chocolate. "I just can't get up and moving in the morning. I am going to give up because I am a loser!" Well then, I am a failure and a loser.

Just get over it and move on. There will be many people who will try to bring you down and get you to stop dieting. They may or may not mean to do it, but they will. If you do not stay your top #1 fan they will talk you into being your own worst enemy. Don't talk yourself into it.
