Don't experiment with unknown hot sauces when you're hungry.
Thinking it would slow my eating down... I bought some hellfire hot sauce. It only worked until the pain was gone and my entire face went numb. Here in lies the fatal mistake. The numbness was an illusion and offered no warning for what was to come the next day. 46
We are told to live in the moment all the time, but sometimes that's nearly impossible for me! This summer I discovered that if I eat and exercise thinking of *tomorrow* instead of today things are much easier. For example, "I really don't feel like working out now... but I know tomorrow my knees won't be as limber if I don't work out, and I want my knees to feel good for that walk I planned tomorrow evening with Sue." This strategy has helped me lose 30 lbs this summer, so I hope it helps! :)
This is particulary helpful (in my opinion) for people who deal with chronic pain, as I do. The body was made to move, so even though working through the pain of arthritis, fibromyalgia, etc. is hard, it's totally worth it!
As we begin to exercise more regularly during our weight loss journey, we notice aches and pain along the way. However we must realize that these aches and pain will be associated with the way that we desire to look at the end of our journey", thus....it hurts to look good! (Be sure you're able to distinquish if the pain is from working out incorrectly or if the pain is the result of building muscles}
Often times, we give up certain exercises because it hurts too bad to continue. But if we associate this with our future goals, then we realize that it doesn't hurt as bad as we thought.
