Most of us shop at Sams, Costco, and others to buy in bulk. Sometimes when you look for the expiration date they are hard to find. If you take a white mailing label "Avery" and write the expiration date on the label with a black shape. This will make it quick and easy to find the oldest products in your pantry.
341 Try this several times in a year.and be careful with the expiration dates on items if you use the food banks. Look at you pantry to make certain items are not going to waste. Regularly check expiration dates. Pull items that will expire in the next month and find a way to use them in a new recipe.26245265341476466261
Stocking up on food items when they are a good price is only saving you if you actually use the food before it expires or goes bad.
example: If salad dressing is on sale and you buy 5, but then 2 expire before you use them, then it was not such a good deal afterall.
Go through your fliers and then go through your pantries to make sure that you actually need the items you are buying.
Stocking up is good, maybe having one or 2 back-ups, but anything more than that if you don't use the items regualrely is just going to end up with you throwing out items past their expiration dates.
