One great way for me to stay motivated to exercise is to commit to workout with someone else. Whether it be a friend, my better half, a trainer or someone at my gym.....by committing, it makes me not just blow off working out because I don't want to let the other person down.

You've all heard that it is easier to resist junk food if you don't have it at home. But let's take this one step further : Don't even let yourself go down the junk food and sweets isles at the store. Don't look at it, don't linger by it, browsing over the section, don't pick it up and contemplate walking out of the store with it even if it is "just for the hubby or kids", don't even try to justify it by reading the ingredients list or nutrional list to see "if it's really THAT bad!"

Even better, always make a meal plan for a week or just a few days, and then make a grocery list based on just the items you need for those healthy meals. Then go to the store, get JUST the items on the list, and get in, get out.
