When focusing on losing the fat, the weight will follow. It is the fat that is unhealthy on our bodies. Even thin people can carry too much fat if they do not exercise, and this as we all know leads to hypertension etc...
I participated in a 10 week study with strength training and cardio run by Physical Fitness Expert. He has a PhD in exercise physiology etc... he's a fitness guru! Fat measurements were taken and the course began. After 10 weeks I had lost 13% body fat! Outstanding results.

The scale can make you think you are not losing weight. You may even gain weight as you develop muscle mass. Don't give up! As you develop muscle, the fat will start decreasing. A pound of muscle equals the same as a pound of fat, but muscle is smaller than fat so you might even start to lose inches before you start losing weight.
